ABSTRACT

This study aims to reveal phenomena related to public services in Palu City before, during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. As for the collection technique through library data, reading, processing, and recording research materials. The results of the study show that the three aspects of research, namely responsiveness, responsibility and accountability, still pose various problems in the process of public service. First, the slow response of the bureaucracy in receiving complaints, wishes, community needs in public services so that it has an impact on the community itself. Second, that public services are carried out not in accordance with existing norms, wherein Law No. 25 of 2009 concerning public services explains that the State must be active to participate in the social life of society, to provide whatever is best for the people, especially in service. Third, where all the interests of society are always contrary to the interests of the bureaucracy in the administration of public services. For example, the services that are carried out must be completed as quickly as possible according to the applicable mechanism, but the results of the research show that the services carried out are not in accordance with the norms and desires of the community. ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia especially in Medan City made people lose their jobs and had to survive to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. On average residents who live close to infection-prone areas flock to buy masks and hand sanitizers. The supplies of hand sanitizers at various pharmacies has run out even though the prices have gone up even ten times. This activity aims to socialize and train the making of hand sanitizers from Eucalyptus citriodora plants as an economic opportunity in the new normal era. The solution method is carried out by providing preparation training, extraction and economic analysis of the availability of raw materials and the feasibility of hand sanitizer products to the community in Tegal Sari Mandala II Village Medan Denai District Medan City. The results that have been achieved are hand sanitizer products made by the community and have high entrepreneurial skills in this new normal era. This activity is beneficial for the community especially in terms of increasing knowledge and skills in making hand sanitizers that can be applied to improve the economy during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this article is to analyze publication trends related to schizophrenia, mental health, and depression during COVID-19 in the Asian Journal of Psychiatry. In 2020, 576 articles were identified using bibliometric analysis from scopus.com. According to the results, India had the most articles on schizophrenia, mental health, and depression, followed by China, Australia, Bangladesh, and Japan, during COVID-19. Meanwhile, the most frequently used keywords were schizophrenia (n = 39), COVID-19 (n = 35), mental health (n = 23), depression (n = 22), and adolescents (n = 12). These represent the trend of publications related to the topics discussed in 2020. Moreover, alternative research themes such as life quality, obsessive-compulsive disorder, metabolic syndrome, prevalence, and mental illness can be used in the future.

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic is becoming the cause of the world health crisis and according to the World Health Organization (WHO) one of the effective methods to prevent Covid-19 transmission is to wear a face mask in public spaces. However, accurate and lightweight face mask detection methods are still being evaluated. This paper proposes a face mask detection model using the Haar Cascade method to detect faces that have been modified and trained to detect face mask features on human faces. The dataset to be used in the form of faces with face masks has been collected through several datasets on the Internet. To evaluate the model created, tests were carried out on several scenarios of different lighting conditions to see the effect on several metrics, namely accuracy and average delay. The test results show that the lighting conditions affect the model created and in sufficient lighting conditions, the trained model has better performance than in other conditions, in terms of accuracy and average delay, namely 96.8% and 43 ms, respectively. © 2021 IEEE.
